Coop is Jeffrey’s Diabetic Alert Dog. He will help alert Jeffrey when his blood sugar is high or low, especially at dangerous levels. The biggest concern is at night when changes in blood sugar can go unnoticed. Coop will be big enough to rouse Jeffrey or alert a roommate or neighbors if his blood sugar level are out of the acceptable range. When he was born, the breeders named him Dublin. When he was matched with Jeffrey, he became Coop. If you are wondering where the name Coop came from, it is from Agent Cooper on Twin Peaks, one of Jeff’s favorite shows. We’ve been able to follow Coop along on his journey from his birth and now as he trains to became Jeff’s life-saving...
